Peter Burki is a co-founder and LifeCare's Chairman of the Board / Executive Chairman. A true entrepreneur, Mr. Burki launched LifeCare as a start-up in 1984 in Westport, CT to help employees manage their child care needs. Today, LifeCare is the global leader in personal productivity and employee loyalty solutions, serving more than 1,900 public and private sector employers and 20 million members worldwide. Under Mr. Burki's leadership, the company has experienced consistent growth year after year. A leading expert on personal productivity programs, services, trends, innovations and growth, Mr. Burki has been profiled in the media and is a frequent keynote speaker.
Prior to founding LifeCare, Mr. Burki worked in product management and marketing for Seiko Time Corporation, an international consumer product company, and worked for MCA as Vice President of Marketing and Promotion focusing on innovative customer growth strategies.
Mr. Burki attended Cornell University and New York University’s School of Business and Public Administration.
Jeffrey Burki is a co-founder and LifeCare's Vice Chairman, responsible for product management, business development and strategic partnering opportunities. Mr. Burki defines and evaluates emerging market strategies and helps plan the company's go-to-market strategies. He also oversees the ongoing enhancement of LifeCare's established service innovations including its award-winning web site, the company's online Resource Center, the LifeMartSM discount center, various e-learning tools, and industry-leading geriatric care management models. He also helps identify opportunities to differentiate LifeCare in the marketplace and maintain its reputation for superior quality.
Mr. Burki was among the first in the industry to recognize the opportunity to integrate productivity solutions with other benefits programs. He helped shape LifeCare's flexible program design and proprietary technology, both of which provide more holistic solutions to employees' needs. Mr. Burki works with all of LifeCare's functional groups to create customized client programs that anticipate industry trends and developments and deliver industry-leading utilization and ROI.
Mr. Burki earned a BA in Economics from Hobart College.
Previously, Doug served as President of Monster North America, leading Monster.com, Monster.ca, Monster Government Solutions and Monster's Enterprise Software businesses. Prior to Monster, Doug was President of Cigna Health Services, leading Cigna Corporation’s Specialty Healthcare and Medical Management businesses. He was Chairman of a portfolio of companies engaged in the pharmacy benefit management and prescription drug, behavioral health, employee assistance and work/life management, medical management, disease management, workers' compensation and disability managed care, dental and vision care, and clinical informatics sectors. Mr. Klinger also served as CEO of Cigna Dental Health, Inc. and as SVP of Cigna Retirement & Investment Services. Before Cigna, Doug was a Managing Director with PNC Financial Services Group.
Doug is also President of Bee Mountain LLC, an investor and advisor to companies and funds in the healthcare, Internet and enterprise software sectors and serves on the Board of Directors of MedCommons, Zintro.com and WebVet.com and the Advisory Boards of iAMscientist.com, Humantelligence, Anthurium Solutions and Personforce.com.
Doug earned a BA in Economics from Trinity College.
Pat LaMarco is Chief Financial Officer of LifeCare, responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations, with a strong focus on driving profitability and cash flow. He also provides leadership and coordination in the business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company. In addition, Mr. LaMarco helps to develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and operational plans, programs and systems.
Before joining LifeCare, Mr. LaMarco served as the Chief Financial Officer for Oxford Management Services, a major accounts receivable management firm in Melville, NY. Mr. LaMarco began his financial career managing audits and tax-related services at Gordon, LaMarco, Baron & Orbuch, a regional public accounting firm in Greenwich, CT. He then joined Xerox Corporation as a manager in the corporate accounting services department, where he was responsible for worldwide consolidations and financial reporting and analysis.
Mr. LaMarco earned a BS in Accountancy from Miami University and an MBA with a concentration in entrepreneurship from Babson College. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Christopher Burki is Managing Director, Sales & Marketing for LifeCare. Mr. Burki is focused on generating revenue growth opportunities and leading the Sales, Client Services and Marketing teams in closing new business and strengthening existing client relationships. Previously, he served as LifeCare's Vice President of Sales, overseeing nationwide sales efforts.
Mr. Burki has been instrumental in identifying new sales channels and expanding LifeCare's distribution channels by establishing relationships with business partners and other specialty markets. He also has assisted with ongoing product development efforts. Before joining LifeCare, he was an investment executive in the Retail Sales and Marketing Division of Smith Barney.
Rob Kornblum is Senior Vice President of Strategy, Product and Corporate Development of LifeCare. He leads the company's strategic partnering, corporate development, and product management activities.
Before joining LifeCare, Mr. Kornblum was Vice President of Corporate Development and General Manager at Bullhorn Inc., the leading provider of web-based software for the recruiting industry. Prior to that he also served as Vice President of Business Development at Monster Worldwide, where he was responsible for alliances, acquisitions, and non-organic growth initiatives. He has extensive experience structuring, negotiating, and launching revenue generating partnerships. As a former venture capitalist and investment banker, Rob was an investor, Board member, and advisor to numerous high-growth companies.
Mr. Kornblum earned an AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a member of the Society of Kauffman Fellows.
Andrew Crawford is Senior Vice President of LifeCare Online and Consumer Acquisition & Conversion, responsible for managing LifeCare's online presence, proprietary LifeMart discount center, client educational solutions and member marketing. He provides leadership for and ownership of enhancement of the user experience and user interface, generating awareness and utilization for LifeCare's services, expansion of key discount center vendor relationships and online revenue strategy, growth of the company’s online and offline event-based businesses, and ensuring the company's role as the leader in web-based solutions in relevant markets. Mr. Crawford also supports operations and technology for the company.
Most recently, Mr. Crawford was Vice President of Live Online Service & Operations for Kaplan Test Prep & Admissions, where he oversaw day-to-day management of KTPA's instructor-led synchronous online learning business. Mr. Crawford previously served as Vice President of Operations for KTPA where he was responsible for Kaplan's call centers, back-office operations and procurement, and managed the re-launch of KTPA's online presence. Prior to Kaplan, Andrew spent most of his career serving in technology, operations, client service, marketing, product management, business development and consulting roles in venture-backed, technology-oriented high-growth companies building scalable and resilient process, technology and infrastructure.
Mr. Crawford earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Peggy MacMannis is Senior Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for the leading LifeCare's Human Resource functions and developing and implementing Human Resource strategy and programs. Her day-to-day responsibilities include directing the administration and ongoing enhancement of LifeCare's employee benefits, overseeing compensation and recruitment/retention programs, employee relations, as well as management of learning and organizational development plans.
Before joining LifeCare, Ms. MacMannis was a pre-sales clinical consultant for VitalSpring Technologies and a manager of employee benefits at Oxford Health Plans. She also has served as manager of employee health and as a registered nurse case manager at Oxford.
Ms. MacMannis is a registered nurse and earned a bachelor's degree in Nursing from Boston College.
